![]() ![]() If you're using Opera Sync, log out of it for a while to see if that makes a difference. Goto the URL opera://settings/clearBrowserData, clear history for all time, goto the URL opera://about, take not of the "profile" path, close Opera, and delete the "History" file in the profile folder. If you don't want to start all over though, first thing to try would be to fix your history. You could start with a whole new profile folder to see if that fixes things. With hardware acceleration on, try adjusting the Angle flag for your GPU. Virus scans on my computer via windows defender show nothing on my PC. Same thing happens even if I have basically one tab open compared to if I had 20. Re installing opera gx does not do anything. Turning off all my extensions does not do anything. Hardware acceleration doesn't really do anything whether it's on or off. When it "freezes" the rest of my computer is just active so it's not an issue of my PC being problematic or slow. I say "freeze" because I see in task manager it's not actually frozen, and there are some parts of the browser that you can still interact with, but you cannot interact with anything of a web page or 99% of the browser. Whenever I open it, it will not load until like five or ten seconds (the browser window itself will pop up but will be white and not actualise), and then every tab I have loaded will pop up, but then it will proceed to "freeze" for 30 seconds to a minute and then the browser is active again. My Opera GX was working fine until a couple of weeks ago when it turned extremely sluggish. ![]()
